Hi I’m Bjorn, and I’m about to become a dad for the first time. I’m not going to lie, it is absolutely freaking me out.

I’m a 33-year-old freelance writer originally from Sweden and currently living in Bangkok, Thailand. I’m here with my amazing wife, Jammie, a Filipina-American who I met in Los Angeles in 2007 and married three years later.

We quit our jobs (I was a hospital fundraiser she was the entertainment editor for our local newspaper) in Northern California in late 2012 to travel the world and do volunteer work in various world capitals in 2013. The year of travel and service completely changed our lives and at the end of it we decided that our next life experiment was to test a long-term relocation to Bangkok.

We had always wanted kids so we were super excited to find out in November last year that Jammie was pregnant. Pregnancy has been a crazy experience so far as you’ll see from my posts.
